Overview |
The Atlantic Cup is a team tennis competition between LGBT tennis groups from Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC. The four teams compete against each other in both singles and doubles, earning points for each match win. Washington DC is the defending champs; however, Boston's Tennis4All won the Cup in 2006 and is hopeful about making another strong showing this year. Although the Atlantic Cup is not an officially sanctioned GLTA event, participants compete in either Open, A, B, C and D divisions in accordance with the GLTA ranking system. |

The two-day tennis competition will be held over the weekend of August 21-22, 2010. Play is all day on Saturday (8/21) and Sunday (8/22). Like GLTA tournaments, there likely will be a draw party on Friday night (8/20) and a banquet/dinner on Saturday night (8/21). |
